WhatsApp first announced it would eventually be charging for an enterprise solution when it launched its free-to-use WhatsApp for Business app
. Here we are, WhatsApp introduced the Business API
The API allows companies to respond to customer messages for up to 24 hours free
of charge. After the 24-hour time frame, companies will be charged a fixed rate by country for each message sent later. Messages will then each cost
Companies will be able to provide data and services: such as delivery dates to customers, notifications of payment of a product, for example.
From this moment on, companies will be able to communicate only with users who made the first contact.
The Business API
could be viewed as a more cost-effective alternative to customer service call centres
, allowing customers to obtain swift responses without the need to make a phone call.
We are implementing a WhatsApp Bot Builder for the automatic creation of chatbot solutions on WhatsApp
Charging only for slow replies that arrive 24 hours after the last user’s message is a brilliant way to create a growth feedback loop. If users get fast answers via WhatsApp, they will prefer it to other channels.
Once companies and users become “addicted” to this new service channel, WhatsApp may also decide to charge all responses / those that exceed a volume threshold.
. For the time being, those interested in starting to familiarize themselves with this technology can sign up for our waiting list
Leave us your details and we will contact you within 2 working days.
You’ll be among the first to have a chatbot on WhatsApp!
